Networks Functions Virtualization Security investigates and explores the potential security issues for NFV, containing three major ingredients: (1) A comprehensive survey on the NFV framework and architecture, highlighting the significant advancements of NFV in both industry and academia; (2) A use cases oriented threat analysis, with an objective to establish a threat taxonomy for NFV enabled networking services and to identify the most essential security requirements, and (3) An in-depth gap analysis between traditional security functions and those tailed to NFV, primarily covering security management, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Intrusion Detection and Prevention System (IDS/IPS), network isolation, and data protection.Extensively studies security issues in NFVPresents a basis or guideline for both academia researchers and industry practitioners to work together to achieve secure and dependable lifecycle management of NFV based network services
